A special focus will be placed on 2D layer growth by various methods as well as transfer processes for ultra-thin semiconductor, dielectric and metal films. The aim is to bring together researchers from different communities to discuss emerging topics in these fields. Work in progress is welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Topics (not exclusively) are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Synthesis of 2D materials, nucleation and growth processes, defects, instabilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selective-area epitaxy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Influence of adlayers on epitaxial (and non-epitaxial) crystal growth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formation of ultrathin layers and nanostructures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-situ monitoring of growth and other processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layer transfer and defects in layer structures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Device results with strong correlation to layer deposition or layer properties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Particular demands of thin film systems for Qubits and memristive structures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Atomistic simulations like density functional theory, molecular dynamics, kinetic Monte-Carlo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Workshop dates and location:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>16.09.24 &#8211; 17.09.24 at ICT Cubes (2320), Room 0002, Kopernikusstra\u00dfe 16, 52074 Aachen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar will start on Monday about noon and will end on Tuesday about noon.
