Conferences play an extremely important role for the advancement of science. They are an incubator for new ideas and new collaborations,” says Professor Max Lemme, scientific director of AMO GmbH, head of the Chair of Electronic Devices at RWTH Aachen University and member of the Organizing Committee of Graphene 2022.

“This is a very exciting time for research on graphene and 2D materials. After sixteen years from the discovery of graphene, we are now in the position to start exploiting the exceptional properties of these materials for applications that are not possible otherwise. But for this to happen, it is necessary to bring together different competences – and this is what conferences are good for,” adds Lemme.

Beside AMO, the event show a very strong presence of the Aachen Graphene & 2D Materials Center, with Prof. Christoph Stampfer (RWTH Aachen University) as co-chairperson of the International Scientific Committee, Prof. Daniel Neumaier (University of Wuppertal) as part of the Local Organizing Committee, and numerous talk and poster contributions by students and senior researchers.

AMO GmbH is one of the organizer of Graphene 2022, Europe’s largest conference on graphene and 2D materials, which is taking place in Aachen from July 5 to 8, 2022.
