2D Materials Center are organizing a two-day workshop on \u201c2D Materials for Future Electronics\u201d, in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University and the University of Wuppertal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" src=\"http:\/\/www.graphene.ac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Flyer-Workshop-2D-materials-for-future-electronics-QR.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1656\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.graphene.ac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Flyer-Workshop-2D-materials-for-future-electronics-QR.png 960w, https:\/\/www.graphene.ac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Flyer-Workshop-2D-materials-for-future-electronics-QR-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/www.graphene.ac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Flyer-Workshop-2D-materials-for-future-electronics-QR-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop will take place on February 19-20, 2024 in the scenic lecture halls of the SuperC building, in Aachen. &nbsp;The scope of the workshop is to discuss the opportunities offered by 2D materials for future electronics, as well as the challenges that still need to be solved to turn the scientific advancements of the field into marketable innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program will cover several facets of the field, including: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>massive scaling and miniaturization (\u201c2D materials for more Moore\u201d)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>flexible electronics and sensors (\u201c2D materials for more than Moore\u201d)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>novel computing paradigms (\u201c2D materials for neuromorphic computing\u201d). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop will also feature a special hybrid session dedicated to electronics based on transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDs) in cooperation with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.2d-epl.eu\">2D-Experimental Pilot Line<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Confirmed speakers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gianluca Fiori (Uni Pisa)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Michael Heuken (AIXTRON)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Andras Kis (EPFL)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Theresia Knobloch (TU Wien)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Karl Magnus Persson (VTT)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dmitry Polyushkin (TU Wien)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frank Schwierz (TU Illmenau)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quentin Smets (imec)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roman Sordan (Politecnico di Milano)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2026 more to come!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Original contributions by the participants in form of a poster are warmly welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation to the workshop is free, but registration is mandatory due to the limited number of places available. <strong>The deadline for registration is February 10, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amo.de\/de\/events\/workshop-on-2d-materials-for-future-electronics\/\">More information &amp;
