Call for applications: RWTH Junior Principal Investigator Fellowships

The Aachen Graphene & 2D Materials Center is eager to support excellent candidates in their application for the Fellowship.

To support young talents on their transition from postdocs to independent researchers, the RWTH Aachen University is offering six RWTH Junior Principal Investigator Fellowships. The fellows will have the opportunity to start their own scientific project in one of the research areas of RWTH.

The fellowship will be awarded for a period of four years, with an optional fifth year. The fellows will be employed as junior research group leaders (full position, pay grade TV-L 14), and have additional funding for one full-time doctoral candidate and a research budget for consumables. Laboratory and office space will be provided by a host institution or a Profile Area at RWTH.

Eligible candidates must have completed their doctoral degree within the last three years, have a strong academic record, and have at least two years of research experience outside of Germany.

The deadline for applications is February 26, 2020. General information about the call can be found here.
