Lecture on the “Physics of Graphene and 2D Materials”

This summer Semester, Prof. Christoph Stampfer will give a lecture on the “Physics of graphene and 2D materials”.

The aim of the course is to provide the fundamentals on the physics of these fascinating materials – starting from the band structure of graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides (MoS2, MoSe2, WS2 and WSe2), down to their unique electric, mechanical and optical properties. The course will also present important topics such as Hall effect, quantized conductance, electronic interference effects as well as electro-mechanical interaction.

Since this semester the course will be held via Zoom, also non-RWTH participants are welcome to join. For registration and further information, please write to: stampfer[at]physik.rwth-aachen.de

The course will be on Friday at 16:00-17:30, starting on April 16, 2021.
